How to Care for Your Flowers During & After Your Event

(Before They Come to Us for Preservation)

Your flowers have already carried so much meaning—love, remembrance, celebration, and emotion. With a little care during and after your event, you’ll give them the very best chance to be beautifully preserved for years to come.

🌿 Be Gentle

It may sound obvious, but flowers are incredibly delicate—especially after a long day of handling, photos, hugs, and emotion.

  • Avoid squeezing, crushing, or laying them flat

  • If possible, assign your bouquet or arrangement to a trusted person (a bridesmaid, family member, or close friend) once you’re done holding them

  • Let someone else “be the guardian” so you can stay present and enjoy the moment

A little gentleness goes a long way.

💧 Keep Them Hydrated

Water is essential to keeping your flowers fresh and supported.

  • Place the stems in a clean vase or container filled with fresh water whenever they’re not being held

  • Make sure stems are fully submerged

  • Change the water daily if they’re with you for more than one day

Think of water as your flowers’ lifeline—it helps slow wilting and keeps petals plump and supported.

❄️ Keep Them Cool

Heat and light are the biggest enemies of fresh flowers.

  • Store your flowers in a cool, dark room, away from sunlight, heaters, or warm air

  • Less light = less stress on the blooms

  • A fridge is absolutely fine if you have space (just avoid fruit and vegetables), but a cool room works perfectly too.

📦 Before Packing or Drop-Off

Once your event has finished and you’re ready to send or bring your flowers to us:

  • Keep them hydrated until the very last moment

  • Remove them from water just before packing or transport

  • Follow our packing or drop-off instructions carefully (we’ll guide you step by step)

✨ A Final Reassurance
You don’t need to do anything perfectly, just thoughtfully. These simple steps help us preserve not just flowers, but the memories they hold.

If you’re ever unsure, reach out. We’re here to guide you every step of the way.
