Why Choose Us?

PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ-

Choosing the right professional to preserve your precious flowers is not something you should take lightly. With flower preservation becoming one of the fastest-growing industries, it's important to understand the difference in preservation companies before investing.

Below are some essential questions to ask your artist before making any decisions:

EDUCATION: Keepsake Longevity

All preserved flowers can fade over time unless treated properly prior to being set in a frame or encapsulated in resin, some within 6 months some within a few years but this is often neglected due to the time-consuming and costly nature of the task.

Many artists will hide behind their terms and conditions and client contracts rather than spending the extra time needed to produce results for their customers that will LAST and that are worth displaying. No one wants to display a keepsake with flowers that look half dead or that will fade in a few years' time.

Questions to ask:

  • What measures, if any, do you implement to mitigate long-term colour loss?

EDUCATION: Preservation Methods

Understand the differences in preservation methods & types. Has the artist invested in professional flower preservation equipment, such as a Freeze Dryer, or do they only rely on methods of drying such as Silica Sand?

Questions to ask:

  • What preservation methods do you use on my flowers?

EDUCATION: Finishing Touches & Detail

Zoom in or view in person previous work. Check for colour retention, shape, layout and finishing touches.

Look for details like:

  • Are white flowers still white, or have they preserved yellow?

  • Are there translucent spots on the flowers?

  • Are there many micro bubbles?

  • Are the edges of resin pieces finished - smooth or sharp?

Questions to ask:

  • How do you prevent white flowers from turning yellow or red flowers from darkening?

  • How do you finish the edges of your resin casts?

Your special blooms have only one chance at preservation. Research thoroughly before investing in such a sentimental piece of art.

What is Freeze Drying?

Freeze drying is an advanced method of flower preservation that involves removing moisture from fresh flowers while they are in a frozen state.

The process is also known as lyophilization, and is the most advanced method for preserving flowers, as it allows them to retain their shape, color, and texture.

During the freeze-drying process, flowers are arranged on trays and placed into a freeze-drying chamber. The chamber is then sealed, and a vacuum is created inside. This causes the moisture within the flowers to freeze, locking it into the cellular tissue of the flowers. The vacuum then pulls the frozen moisture out of the flowers in the form of vapour, which is then collected on a refrigerated ice condenser.

This process of sublimation converts the moisture from a solid to a vapour and then back to a solid, resulting in dry flowers that retain their natural appearance.

Freeze drying flower preservation is a popular method for preserving wedding bouquets, funeral flowers, and other sentimental floral arrangements. It is also used in the commercial flower industry to preserve and transport delicate flowers for longer periods of time
